Over the last couple of days we made these creations.

We got stray cutlery from the thrift shop and gave them the same handles, so that they could become a serie again.

Also the cheese slicer is from the thrift shop and we thought it would be a great Dutch souvenir for tourists coming to this country: typical Dutch product, Dutch raw material and made possible by the Dutch Designer: Dave Hakkens!

Opening ‘Change The System’

Yesterday was a sunny and inspiring day for the opening of the exhibition ‘Change The System’ at the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum. We would like to use this opportunity to thank our partners who helped us out setting up the expo: Precious Plastic Community, Afval Loont, Van Plestik, Circular Clockworks and TU Delft.

We will be experimenting with different kinds of materials and technics and keep you updated about our process!

Boijmans van Beuningen Museum

We’re presenting Precious Plastic at the expo ‘Change the System’ of the Boijmans van Beuningen Museum from October 14th till November 5th at the living labs! ‘Change the System’ features projects by designers who want to change the world, either step by step or in one big gesture. With work by more than fifty designers and artists, the exhibition gives a vision of contemporary design’s potency for change: can we rid the oceans of plastic, create a world without plastic, use graphic design to clarify and sharpen social debate?

Designers such as Eric Klarenbeek, Iris van Herpen, Jólan van der Wiel, Dave Hakkens and Christien Meindertsma are connected to the three current themes scarcity, conflict and plurality.
