Thank you sooo much MadNes Festival 2018 for the awesome time !! Last weekend we installed our transparent recycle station and created a limited edition of surf wax combs ‍, specially made for the Madnes festival. The visitors could exchange 10 bottlecaps found on the beach for their own surf wax combs. Again, all we met this weekend, thank you for the great time !

This week we are going to prepare for the Festival Madnes! With two Precious Plastic machines, the shredder and extruder, our team will travel to Ameland to leave the beach more beautiful than it already was. With plastic from the beach, we give visitors the chance to make new products from them.

Who else will come to the Madnes Festival?

With two Precious Plastic machines, the shredder and extruder, the Precious Plastic Den Haag team will travel to Ameland to make the beach more beautiful than it already was. They challenge you to collect and recycle plastic to make new products. For example, you will make your own surf comb on MadNes of the found plastic.

Come and say hi to us at Designkwartier in Den Haag 1/2/3 June! We’ll be at the Zeeheldenkwartier in Den Haag shredding, molding, making new products. Feel free to ask us anything about the machines, do a workshop, hand in your collected bottlecaps and support the community. We’ll see you then!

Thank you, Lab Vlieland for organizing world’s first fossil-free island trade mission! The trip was inspiring, hard-work and daring. The organization was terrific and our partner start-ups really professional. You really listened to the needs of our start-up and helped us get in touch with interesting investors, entrepreneurs and policymakers.

During this week we sailed with the Ecolution of WubboOckels to the following Wadden Islands: Terschelling, Ameland, #Schiermonnikoog. There, we met with entrepreneurs and policymakers and participated in workshops from among other: JortKelder, Marius Smit and JonathanTalbott. We ended the trip by presenting our video manifesto of the Island Trade Mission to the Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat and Ministerie Van Landbouw Natuur En Voedselkwaliteit of Nederland, Denemarken and Duitsland.

Fossil-free Island Trade Mission Start

And… we’re off!! Yesterday we started the fossil-free Island Trade Mission of Lab Vlieland together with several start-ups, such as WesterZwam, Biomeiler, Kitepower, GroenCollect, VisBlue, #Hyetsolar. With the Ecolutionof Wubbo Ockels we went to Schiermonnikoog and Vlieland for meetups with local policy makers and entrepreneurs.

As an associative project they want to inspire and promote a responsible lifestyle. The goal? Change the way we consume and think about the city of tomorrow.

Fossil-free Island Trade Mission Selected

We did it ! In about two weeks we’ll set sail towards the most Northern parts of the Netherlands with one mission: a plastic recycle station on the Wadden Islands ! Together with sixteen other sustainability start-ups, Ministerie van Economische Zaken en Klimaat, Ministerie Van Landbouw Natuur En Voedselkwaliteit of Denemarken, Duitsland and the Netherlands we’ll travel to the Waddeneilanden during the first fossil-free trade mission in the history of Lab Vlieland.

Sea First Foundation Beach Clean-up Scheveningen

Sunday May 6th there’ll be Beach Clean-up Scheveningen Aloha Surf at Scheveningen, organized by our dear partner Sea First Foundation. We’ll also be there and help wherever we can .

At 11.30 we’ll all gather at ALOHA SURF for registration and a cup of coffee or tea. Around 12.00 there’ll be the kick-off and we’ll spread across the beach for the clean-up till 15.00. In between, you can hand in all your collected trash also at ALOHA SURF!

Prepare yourself for a fun day where you can catch a breath of fresh air. Everybody is welcome and feel free to bring friends/ family/ everyone you know with you.
